The Award-winning illustration 'Artificial Spring' was inspired by the erratic weather conditions lived through-out 2018. In cities like New York, Spring arrived later than usual, leaving the city cover in snow and new yorkers facing cold, reclusion and sadness. This particular piece was based on two articles from The New York Times and The New Yorkers which described how the citizens coped with the fact that one of the most beloved seasons didn't arrive on time. This poetic image intended to convey the fragility of our beautiful environments and that it is upon us to make big changes. © Natalia Cardona Puerta, 2018. Digital.
